In February 2023, the Base team launched their testnet with a commemorative NFT mint, "Base Introduced," which saw over 485,000 mints by 370,000 wallets, making it one of the most widely distributed NFTs ever. Now, these NFTs can be redeemed for $BASED tokens in three phases: Phase 1 (July 12-26) offers 500,000 $BASED per NFT, Phase 2 (July 27-August 7) offers 250,000 $BASED, and Phase 3 (starting August 13) offers 25,000 $BASED. The total $BASED supply will depend on the number of NFTs redeemed.
