AltLayer has been awarded a retroactive grant of 1 million EIGEN tokens by the Eigen Foundation for its contributions to the EigenLayer ecosystem. The 1M EIGEN grant will be allocated entirely to AltLayer’s community, with the first 500,000 EIGEN tokens distributed to reALT token holders based on snapshots taken from May 9 to December 12, 2024, and the remaining tokens distributed in 2025 when EigenLayer’s reward mechanism v2 goes live.
